What is your favorite movie?
My favorite movie is Romeo and Juliet because it makes me appear more cultured than I really am, or, actually a full length Popeye cartoon is enjoyable, and in the event neither of those are available a terrific night can be had viewing a good documentary about colon health and the need for probiotics.
Scripture that is impacting you right now?
The scripture that impacts me most is that passage that I'm working on today, because if it doesn't impact me today, on Sunday the congregation will impact me with massive indifference.
Favorite musical group when you were in jr. high?
Such a difficult question---all those choices---(Perry Como---nope, not a group) or (Mitch Miller--nope, almost a group), or the Beatles!
Favorite ice cream?
My favorite ice cream is the one my wife doesn't see me eating. She is a calorie counter with no inhibitions about telling me how much I'm consuming and how big my buttock is getting.
Hero?
What day is it---on Tuesdays it's Gibbs from NCIS, on Wednesdays it's the Repo guys, on Thursdays it's Simon Baker on the Mentalist, the rest of the time its almost always my dog.
Hobbies?
Riding a lawn mower at break-neck speed and topping the day off with a special time of weed-whipping.
Most underrated Biblical character?
The most underated biblical character is the "Big Fish" that swallowed Jonah. Can you imagine how upset that fish's gastronomic system was after swallowing Jonah. Three days of nausea and finally it got to "puke him out." I'm pretty assured that fish will never eat another person---eating people gave the fish a bad case of gas and stomach cramps! How many times has the church ever mentioned the sacrifice of the "great fish?" Perhaps a church should build a monument to the "big fish."
What is your favorite cereal?
Cereal is only for those that were brain washed as children. I like candy bars!
What invention is absolutely essential to your daily life?
The invention that is most essential to my daily life is the "wheel." I'd hate to walk to work in this heat.
Worst fashion offense (and do you have a pic of it?!)
Worst fashion sense......I'm not sure my ward robe of clothes purchased from the Walmart clearance rack qualifies as fitting the description of "fashion sense."
Best treatment for the common cold?
12 hours of sleep before the onset of the cold, and 12 hours of sleep during the colds duration, followed by 12 hours of sleep in the days ensuing! Subscribing to this treatment will cause the cold to retreat in about 7 days to a week.
